Then you either are talking about something that happened way before and to just brutos himself, or you are full of shit yourself. Azuredrake was like one of the last people to join cw. Ghost was dead (not counting mkoll and co still using tags) for like a full year at the very least when that happend.
i agree. lets do another fileplanet/ign shoutout with our next release. we have to tap the newsletters and game updates. they have massive emailing lists.
Dude, it was me. I did that to CW. And I basically asked everyone over a period of ages (like half a year or more), almost begging for people to come forward and say they still wanted to play competitively. During that time some people even hosted trainings and stuff, and sometimes that went well, sometimes poorly. But you...you were one of the few who came back after a seeming hiatus to be like "what the hell...why didn't you ask me?". Let me be clear. I joined CW because I wanted to be in a clan. However, over the years, people wanted to be competitive less and less, until eventually after a few infamous matches (not least HSM's command of a CW team - some shit that never should have happened), and the league, people didn't want to do it anymore. Almost everyone in the clan got disenchanted with it. People didn't step forward to take charge of anything competitive. Now maybe that's my fault, and maybe I wasn't ready to really take over CW - something I could have happily gone without. But in the absence of *any* guiding hand, I took charge, tried to make it work, then inevitably and logically concluded that CW was a community, not a clan. Because clans compete. They have some sort of competitive arm, or they at least have trainings to make themselves better - even if just for pubs. At least, that's what I thought, and I still feel it's what separates clans from communities. Z10000M, if you feel hard done by by all this, then I apologise. But at the end of the day, you didn't know what was what because you just didn't talk to anyone about it or read any of the discussions on the forums. You weren't interested. Maybe next time you will be. I really was looking for anyone to head up the competitive team, to form a backbone. One person would have meant saving the whole thing. Still, it's my fault in the end - but hey, if you ever find a game you want to play other than Empires (since you're in Epic now), then we're all still there.
Ikalx, its too late for me process that wall of text, but where did you get the idea i was insulting you in some way? That was like 4 years ago man, whatever happened is void by now. I referenced the thing because, well, its just a time landmark for me. Thats it. I never said or though of being somehow hurt by all that. Shit happens. If you meant that "I was only told after the fact" I meant that epic was dick enough not to inform me (us? I dont know if brutos knew beforehand), but basically brutos told me that during a random chitchat on steam. I didnt even know that you knew (if you knew anyway). I dont want to use the word "know" in any of its form for the next month or so now.
I don't think you were insulting me in some way, I'm just that irritated by the mistakes I made...and the fact that the decisions I made turned out to be wrong, in the end - just that no one would say that beforehand Basically, it just makes me look like I dicked on the clan I loved.
What do you mean wrong? It would happen regardless. 1) there was inter clan tension 2)people felt bitter about the split 3)the game wasnt doing so hot with the releases. None of those you could do anything about.
if im allowed to say someting - out of everyone involved, i would blame you the least ikalx. you never asked to be king ...
Bah! Just feel it should have worked better, is all. Thanks anyway guys :D Wish you didn't all play Dota, play Awesomenauts instead
jelly? fun fact: I was invited to GHOST cause of my awesome tank driving skills Nope Theirs a reason why I wouldnt touch a BSID member even with a ten foot pole
