    So basically, it's been a while, and we don't have a great overview of what's left to sort out. Idea of this test is to remake a list of shit that we need to fix, so we can push for sending the depots to Valve in a few weeks. So on this occasion, organisation and attendance are really important. I know the time isn't ideal but it's the only way I'll be able to attend to run the test, so that's how it is.

    Pass will be testingtime as always.


    -- BUGS TO TEST IF THEY'VE BEEN FIXED --

    • When giving targets as commander: "Boxing an enemy in makes the target stick on the enemy. Right-clicking on the enemy uses the delayed method"
    • Squad/Commander targets dont have a delay on minimap but do have a delay on the players HUD
    • Fix: Only move players to spec in conquest sudden death if there are 0 tickets
    • Hide heal effect when engineer tool is used on a player during conquest sudden death
    • Getting HP upgrade in conquest sudden death should not give you more HP
    • Game time counter starts from when map loads instead of when the game starts
    • Hide revive icon when player suicides with emp_force_kill
    • Infantry targets sometimes not delayed
    • Re-add target boxes when using multi-attack selection on friendly targets (This makes it easier to select a set of players you wish to give commands to.)
    • Allow servers to set commander freeze time at beginning ofgame with convar emp_sv_commander_freeze_time
    • Disable camera options in unassigned so you can't unassigned spec
    • Add: Show player names on corpses for everyone
    • Class loadouts should now be remembered during a round
    • Should be able to leave current squad while another squad is highlighted in the squad menu
    • Check if custom content works without silly hacks. Put custom content in "Steam/Steamapps/USERNAME/empires/empires".

    NON-PIVOTAL BUGS / UNCHECKED THINGS:
    • Research should now be completely free, check if cost is no longer displayed in menu
    • Show "skill pending" icons in class menu
    • Players should now collide with each other again
    • Vehicle carcasses should now be able to be properly recycled
    • Check that you are not able to get 101 hp with health regen
    • Recycling buildings should now be toggleable
    • If you have Defusal, nearby enemy mines should have an icon above them. Size and position of icon will probably change.

    did custom content get fixed? I know you guys were holding off on the patch till then.

    List of mine from the previous RC. There are more aswell but I wont be able to make saturday and doubt ill be doing much testing by myself until those are finally fixed

    Custom content might be fixed, but there is a chance sv_pure got broke in the process. But we'll check to make sure custom content is fixed first anyway and address the other issue later.

    Yeah well, to be honest, that's only included because we just gave up trying to fix people rubber banding over eachother. We just couldn't reproduce it on demand, and after nearly a year of trying to fix it, we didn't want it to hold us back any more, so this seemed like the best option for us.

    I can reproduce it every damn time I try to walk through anyone. EVERY TIME!

    No you can't. There is a reason that at the start of a District/Escort game, no-one has this issue, and by the end, everyone does. Whether it be revives, emp_unstuck. It does not happen all the time, so stop trying to act like you have any idea what you're talking about. The whole point is that we need to be able to cause it to happen. As in, it isn't happening, we do something, then it is happening. No-one knows those steps.

    So, instead, we made collisions solid again.

    All I can say about the rubber banding is that it has something to do with someone using the fire button, whether it's with a calc, pistol, rifle or other weapon. I can walk though and over any player but if I try to do it while they're firing a weapon, I start rubber banding. If anyone else is willing to, I'd be glad to dedicate some time this weekend to testing it, or even tonight.

    It happens when people aren't firing as well, although we did notice a pattern of actually being hit by friendly bullets seemed to trigger something. Sometimes, but not always. But honestly, we've just re-enabled full collisions, it's not something we want to sink any more time into.

    To anyone who can't launch the svn version of thegame properly; delete any files marked as conflicted (yellow exclamation mark). Update the svn folder then look for an option called revert in the right click menu, select all files and revert them.
