Spawn teleport

    I agree with the above statement completely. As such, I feel that at this time it is necessary to resurrect the "teleporting" idea.

    Again. ^^

    Two sentence explanation:
    Allow infantry to teleport from any of their team's spawn points to another. This way infantry don't have to kill themselves to go support people elsewhere.

    Give it some "channeling" time tho.
    Killspawning give you 9 sec wait time.

    How about you have to be inside a rax to teleport instantly. If you arent in one then you stand still for 5 seconds until you get teleported.

    Lol, teleporting in the midst of battle from behind cover, great idea varbles :)

    Srsly though, why hasn't rax-->rax teleporting been implemented yet?

    killspawning is stupid. might as well give the ability to teleport between raxes, but only from a friendly rax to another rax, or an apc. problem is you will never get away from killspawning unless you do something about the 'kill' command too.

    kill is necassary for the many fail spots that the empires models and maps have, removing that would be a Recipie for Epic Fail.

    Also I've never seen anyone killspawn out of a hopeless conflict, you lose KD 'n' that as well.

    I dont think many people are that worried about their k/d in empires, at least not the ones who know what they're doing.
    Killspawning is an important mechanic in empires that currently has to be done via what is technically an exploit. It is too important to remove so it should be validated by giving people the ability to basically teleport between raxes.

    Teleporting from the field was just my suggestion because if its only from raxes than people will still use killspawning to get around the map

    If "teleporting" to spawn points from out in the field is allowed, then the question remains if that should cost a ticket or not. Personally, I don't think it should. Killspawning doesn't effect the ticket counter very much anyways.

    Alternative: Teleporting from one spawn point to another spawn point is free, but teleporting to a spawn from anywhere else costs a ticket.

    25 people on a team on a map with 250 tickets, that's only 10 spawns each. A large scale killspawn could really hurt your tickets. Ofc on a team with 8 players tickets are pretty much irrelevant no matter what the situation.

    Teleporting from anywhere on the field shouldn't really be allowed imo. I believe the price for raxes is coming down in the next version, so they should be pretty much everywhere you will need to teleport to/from - which i'm in favour of.

    You know, I read somewhere about service tunnels being implemented between friendly buildings, allowing for a safe passage to whatever your destination is, like a rax from a VF, I am not sure if its for all non-ref buildings but I thought it was a pretty good idea.

    Or I may be crazy and imagined it

    I think he just means 'service tunnels' that are, effectively, teleports with a different justification.

    There is in fact such a tunnel built into the BE AF model.

    Nuh uh.
    There are separate brenodi tunnel models, but they don't have anything to do with any other buildings.

    And a delay corresponding to distance.

    some games have an extra amount of time added to respawn for suicide deaths. this could be added in conjunction with barracks teleporting to discourage killspawning as it is used right now.
