Yes, also tarmac could be good for asphalt. While you're at it can you make some pavements we can use for sidewalks?
Watch towers, landing pads, flower patches, sounds like you guys need a lot of prop objects. I'm tying up loose ends with another Moddb mod and once that is done I can launch 100% into modeling props for you guys. Hopefully nothing too complex so my crappy Uvs can cram in a decent repeated texture like metal lol or green for stems and red/yellow for flowers. PS what is a rax?
the point was that I had to steal the model from DOD:S and that we should have some of our own to work with
There are already some models for destroyed building lurking inside the empires folder eg; "Empires\models\nf\buildings\barracks\nf_barracks_wreck.mdl" But the edges of the destroyed parts of the wall have no thickness to them therefore they look a bit crappy. Perhaps decompiling and fixing up some of these existing building wreck models would be a good idea.
Maybe... but I refuse to go back to walking the full length of district when there are quicker ways to get there! (Got the whole dialing sequence working with entities too )
err started to make a watchtower... will post shit up later and some trench barrier things... you know
o snap, someone's gonna love ya All it needs are several skins for different enviroments and we're all set
My renders are Fing ugly so never mind those. I need serious work on rendering, I didn't know it was so complicated. Or that I was that dumb... anyways, here we go Final version, I make other props today as well [I'm really depressed so hopefully more modeling will cheer me up some]. http://cahemdue.net/images/Empires_ConWatchTower_1.gif http://cahemdue.net/images/Empires_ConWatchTower_2.gif http://cahemdue.net/images/Empires_ConWatchTower_3.gif Download links here http://cahemdue.net/Empires.html crits welcome moving on to anti-tank barrier stuff. I have 2 or 3 different styles I'm doing from the wiki page.
that looks cewl. Remover the two bars that go over the um, basket and extend the roof out in all directions a tad more. People tend to drop turrets or cameras to try to get to areas they are not supposed to, like the roof. Or you could even drop the roof low enough that they cant jump out the window.(would offer the side bonus of making it harder for a tank to shoot into the tower to do splash on troop.)
Could use some other types of walls. Possibly repetitive ones. Or gates with complex geometry. Even Stairs would be nice as models. examples: http://www.dropbox.com/gallery/10061381/1/emp_delta?h=ad04f4
Okay thanks. I'll release a seperate tower with your fixes. And then some stairs and gate shit. Great images, very helpful.
Np. Just a couple of small things that are heavy on the brushes, can cause some issues when using the entire gridspace in hammer
