As far as I'm aware there is work being done, the research tree is being overhauled, the port to the OB engine is underway, and a lot of balance changes are being implemented to generally improve the game. I have heard concern expressed about the lack of full time modellers and skinners on the team, however I don't think many new models and skins are required for a lot of the work that needs doing.
