Since there haven't been any updates in awhile, maybe one of the devs can give the community an update on 2.2's progress. Hopefully, this thread won't get totally derailed and full of junk by people posting off topic stuff. Thanks.
it will save alot of threads about this, if the devs actually kept us up to date on what was happening, unless there's a suprise to it, then just keep that bit to yourselves :D
And what should you be kept up to date with? It's all code right now, it's what you can't understand.
ROFL. Our peon brains couldn't begin to comprehend the complexity that is "C O D I N G". How do you pronounce that anyways? :p
They don't even have a new RC out, let alone know where 2.2 is going. They can't seem to understand 2.2 is just a move to OB, and seem insistent to put new features in.
I agree with that. You know Solo, I'm a programmer myself, so that is kind of insulting. And you and I both know you can translate into english what's done and what needs to be done. Almost every other mod does. I agree, but the devs don't seem to care. You know, I said in my original post that it'd be nice if you guys didn't fill this topic with junk, and it seems you guys are incapable.
Testing for Empire is VERY slow. In 1.08 testing (publicly known as 2.0) when a feature was added, there were fixes for that feature in the next 3 releases typically. I don't think the devs want to show how they fix something, then refix it in the 3 subsequent releases. Nothing is told to the public until it is thoroughly tested. You would have to be a tester or a dev to truly understand.
