I didn't give it that, it always had it (hardcoded). When it became un-hardcoded, I just didn't bother removing it.

Because of this thread I now use the shotty way more. It is pretty awesome. I use BE P2 aswell, even tho it sucks, because it sound better and looks cooler, which is most important
That's all we can hope for. If everyone uses it, hopefully it will be so OP that it will have to be fixed.
Anybody else notice the trend in this thread? The people that love using the Shotty are defending it to the death claiming it doesnt need changed. The people that view it no differently than any other weapon say that things need changed
I don't support infantry weapons that instant kill and is incredibly easy to use. I also dislike nukes, I find games more fun where everyone is on equal footing.
The shotty does what it's suposed to do, blow your face off at close distance. Combined with the NFAR though it might be a bit much. Give it to grens only, perhaps?
The journey of buffing Grenadier, since 2011. You are suggesting them to deprive Rifleman's ability of killing infantry (well, partially) while keeping Grenadier's? This sounds totally legit. Also, once again, shotty is a secondary weapon, a possible one shot kill against a full health target is just improper.
It's risk versus reward. If I can land a headshot up close with the shotty it's an instant kill, but if I miss I'm pretty much fucked. If it's nerfed, no one is going to use it since pistol 1 is already so good.
I think people would use if it would be a "finisher" weapon. Hit target with mortar, finish off with shotty. ?
This only shows how fucked shotty is. For close combat : Shotty : One "rough" shot and gg he's dead/seriously injured. Pistol 1 : You have to land multiple shots precisely to score a kill. Pistol 1 is OP? Okay, this sounds totally legit. IMO we should give shotty more rounds per magazine, I'd say 4. But max damage per round should be around 70~90(If all pellets hit, that is).
you used to not get a kill at point blank in the back of the head... some middle ground was needed. it made no sense.
Shotty pistol should keep the amount of power it has but have a wider spread or more damage fall off.
I agree, reduce the lethal range not the damage, or keep it as it is and just give it 1 shot instead of 2 if your that bent on nerfing it. Though in my opinion its fine the way it is. I still prefer a p1 because of its longer range and higher ammo capacity. Make it a weaker gun that doesn't kill in one hit at close range and you ruin the point of having any kind of shotgun. A suicidal grenadier might get one kill if he just rushes forward, but odds are he's going to get lynched after he fires off that second shot. Besides, I see grenadiers get more kills with mortars than with a shotty pistol.
Y is everyone so mad about my shotty? It's not that OP. To oneshot someone you need to be very close to your target. If you have melee upgrade, the effect is the same. 1 hit = 1 kill. And you also need to be close to your target. So you call melee upgrade also OP?!? lel
