I know you won't like this, but taking down buildings isn't what the rifleman is for! this game isn't about multi-tasking, it's about working in squads to complement each other's weaknesses. riflemen = anti-infantry grenadier = anti-everything else engineer = support and anti-building the problem is this is when there are only 4 players on each team, you become very stretched. then everyone needs to go engineer :S
im mad that riflemen can carry enough grenades to kill a lvl 2-3 trt without ammo upgrade. they are the anti-infantry unit, so remove their ability to take out turrets
For goodness sake... riflemen aren't useless!!! They kill INFANTRY. If you're finding a rifleman useless, then you're not fighting infantry, in which case you should be a different class, not have the rifleman do other class's jobs.
But all the other classes can kill infantry too. Engineers can be promoted so freaking fast while a rifleman needs 10 kills! So even if you say that rifleman can have extra ammo, and slow reg. health you still need to promote yourself somehow, and with rifleman it is harder.
I see that the Engineer should be the primary class that people play with; and for a good reason... A rifleman should be swiched over to when the situation calls for it (The two opposite groups of engineers are deadlocked; there is a base assult and people will need cover)
i think most of u guys are thinking about this the wrong way, instead of thinking 'i know, ill go engi, get an upgrade/ build stuff, then turn rifleman, because this will lead to a good game for all' your thinking ' i want to rifleman straight away, but at the same time get lots of upgrades, have buildings and have someone to heal / resupply me. ' (i was going to add 'i dont care about other people having a good game' aswell but thought that would be a bit harsh )* your also thinking 'how can i justify this as a viable choice for the start of the game to stop those stupid moaning comms from screaming at me to go engi?' alot of comments im reading in this thread will make it so the above is possible, so as i said ealier, ^y dont we just get rid of the engi and other classes altogether, because theyl be no point to them when the riflemans able to do all of that^ *albeit true
They kill infantry and can kill one turret without ammo increase. Engys kill - buildings, tanks, and infantry Grens kill - buildings, tanks, and infantry Scouts kill - infantry and nothing else because they are even more useless than rifleman and because nobody ever uses the binocs unless they're spamming it.
Umm. Have you ever tried out the rifleman grenades against tanks? Against vanilla tanks, they rip armor off like nothing, and with upgraded armor, it still chews away at their armor like mad.
even cooked grenades are damn hard to get on a moving tank. and it's not unfair to let a rifleman get past just ONE turret. most heavily defended places will have overlapping fire anyway.
