Just an addendum, had a test on glycen yesterday, blizzerd shot me around for a bit and me and my corpse acted considerably less like a sledge on ice so I think there is measureable improvement.
How does this balance with HMG? seems like it was bullshit in some sHituations as it was, we don't want those to escalate.
It balances because now people don't get pushed into defilade when you shoot them. Or at least theoretically, I expect half pushback won't actually help with that, but you never know. Guns killing you make that infeasible, not pushback.
Well anyways, pushback is a decent means of telling you where you're getting shot at from. If you live long enough.
before you can think of the push direction ,you are probably dead already so that doesnt matter also with that pushback + screwed realistic fall dmg i like to make be fly off the brdige as scout on SoF D:
A slight nudge has saved my life. A few shots before the bullet hose. It's just when it stacks, it's ridiculous. (make it exponentially decrease)
Newton's Third Law. That is all. If you hit an enemy with a bullet and it causes him to go backward 10 feet, the shooter would have to go back 10 feet as well.
I play with the HMG a lot, and I can't tell you how many times I've knocked back someone pinning them against an obstacle with a barrage of bullets. To me, the knock back makes sense to prevent someone like Mashav from running up, getting behind me, and meleeing my ass to oblivion.
thats not newtons law, and its false the shooter will always get more push then the shooted, because the bullet loses velocity and power when leaving the barrel and traveling
yea, but bullets give all sorts of actions that only combined have the same reaction few parts of the action are applied to the person hit
