I read about this a few years back, when the guys from TA Spring and a few old TA devs were talking about it. RIP CaveDog. It fell off my radar a while back, but I, like most people on steam noticed it on Thursday. And holy shit I'm happy it's still going.

But anywho, if you played and loved Total Annihilation back in the 90's and more recently TA spring, god you are going to love this. Taking their large scale battles and moving them out into space as well.

I still feel that Cavedog invented the zerg.

89.99$ for an alpha, you cant argue with that price.

That's because they are depending on player support, nothing else.

    Mkay then.

I already contributed to the Kickstarter. And as much as i want this game, I'm going to wait a bit. I'm getting it regardless.

Victor Reznov is apart of your imagination, he can't post let alone delete them.

It's on the same level as what the kickstarter backers had to pay to get into alpha, I think it's only fair to those guys that newfags don't get to mess around for less.

I didn't include such a relationship, it's a simple matter of not being a dick to those people that trusted you most and helped you out when you had nothing to show.

I just want to point out that Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Deluxe Edition + Season Pass for all DLC was around £90.

I backed this a while back on kickstarter, at a relatively low tier. If they hadn't reached the goals I wanted them to as fast as they did, they definitely would have gotten more from me. The reason it is 90$ for the alpha is to be fair to the kickstarter backers as Destroyer said. Of course, you don't really have to get alpha, you can just wait until beta or when it is actually out. Especially since right now the alpha doesn't have many features of the full game. I believe they said that beta would be 60$, the game itself being 40$ upon release (and pre-order through their website is 40$ with another tier for Beta access at 60$).

Seems good, they are making very fast progress in making the game and have some very impressive tech demos in their live streams. I'll probably come back and put a link in for one of their really cool and informative streams. I think it was about the random planet generation. I definitely think it will be a game worth getting.
EDIT: Found it. Forgot it was an hour long. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Qyl7h7D1Q8
It's long but it certainly is very interesting. At ~25 minutes they talk about pathing, and before that is talking about planet generation. The pathing stuff was much more interesting to me personally.

Yes, for the same game that they have been re-naming for the past how many years?

I'm hoping that the guys at uber gaming are going to hold true to their promises and deliver a good ol' fashion massive combat RTS, with a new spin. The only other RTS I've played or heard of that had multiple levels of combat that were occurring simultaneously, AND allowed units to move between those levels/zones and influence battles elsewhere. (Underground, Surface, Air/Orbit) This game was known as Metal Fatigue. Innovative game design, but sadly, the game got little attention.

I will play any RTS that focuses on strategy than numbers and macroing.

If you see red, you're dead.

    Mil-Agro up in this bitch.

get that AA torso, slap it on one of my com-bots with dual gattling arms, and the powered gun legs.

Set that bad boy to ranged only, and have it back up some shield wielding, axe toting melee monsters. and suddenly everything dies.

Also, killing some Neuropa fools is always good, reverse engineer some recon legs for some nice zoom zoom.

    Lol, no.

It's priced in the stratosphere so dipshits don't buy it and cry that it's isn't 300% polished.

If you aren't a hardcore fan that will put up with that stuff, then sit on the sidelines.
