    About the title, have I already used the "This time, it's Particle" pun yet?

    Onto business, it seems a couple people (one or two at most) were a bit upset at the particles released in 2.25. One guy said it was laggy, the other guy said it didn't match his feng shui, so the higher-ups cracked the whip and got me back to work.
    So far, the changes include:
    -Cheaper Canyon Rain
    -New Nuke Effect, built from scratch
    -Improved Glycencity snow.

    If the new particles are less smoky and/or don't last as long as before it would be a good improvement.

    Btw: Heavy tank with nukes on Glycencity? Why not ;)

    It's called emp_sv_research_all 1

    Glycencity has a VF at round start, it's only logical that I do testing there to save time.

    The nukes look like they're extremely dense, and will cause lag, :U.

    Are we going to see support for...

    - Building explosions

    - Destroyed buildings disappearing

    - Vehicle explosions

    - Vehicle wreck explosions (when the wreck disppears, it could explode again)

    - Rocket and cannon trails (would be nice if these were weapon specific, allowing for different trails to further differentiate weapons)

    - Cannon and rocket firing effects effects

    - Building placement effects

    - MG turret bullet tracers and muzzle effects

    - ML turret rocket explosions

    - Effects for damage over time (bio effects ect)

    - Smoke grenades

    - Concussion Grenades

    - APC grenades

    - Vehicle damage smoke (varying levels according to damage would be nice, from a wisp of smoke to a fire)

    - Deconstruction effects

    ect.

    ...in 2.26?

    MOOtant said yesterday that he'll implement that stuff given the particles btw

    IMO nuke needs to be less nuke like, it will look absolutely ridiculous when more than one goes off. Screw the mushroom cloud like effects and just make a huge-ass fireball ^^

    I have been one of empty's most vocal opponents and I will be the first to say that I am glad that he is working on another set. We should all give him room to work. I am filled with anticipation in waiting to see your new particles, empty.

    By ranting nonstop about 2.25 particles? Guess, he didn't start to work on them today (but since around 2.25 was released) ... ;)

    Last time I checked SVN, cannons still had this irritating flash over whole screen when firing.

    Empty is busy remaking his particles so that they work well on 7-year-old crap computers, so i doubt we will see any additional particle usage soon. Catering to stoneage technology ftl.
