I used to host these a few years ago but I kind of got bored of them. I'm starting to feel like doing one again. For the uninitiated, we basically get a few of us together, and after a few hours of fucking about finding a nice combination of newGRFs (asset mods), we start a game of OpenTTD, usually somewhere between 1950-1970. The game tends to wrap up once people are bored, but generally speaking we can expect to hit the year 2000-2020. In the past we've started on a Saturday around lunchtime UK time, but I'm open to starting Friday night instead so the Americans have a better chance. The game will be set to pause if there's less than 3 people playing. I'm not aiming for any weekend specifically, I just want to see who's up for it. In the past, I can generally recall: Myself ukgamer Deif Extrems Dizzyone Vulkanis Blizzerd Omneh Valiant Slade Napalm Justin? (I forget) and probably others who I forgot. So we had pretty good attendance. The good thing is, ping is totally irrelevant so it doesn't really hold anyone back, plus you can play the game on a potato. For anyone who played the classic, I'll write a guide and host the files necessary if you want to use any of the original assets. I know I personally use the classic music, so it's worth doing imo. I think we generally need to aim for a minimum of 8 people so that once the initial couple drop out or get bored for whatever reason, we've still got 4-5 active players at least. More is better though.
i might play, send me a steam message an hour before you're planning to begin and I'll make my decision then.

But yeah, I would appreciate if someone could make things easy for me. Like link to the openTTD you use (vanilla without useless carp) and ts3infoes. I can probably squeeze few hours today but cant promise anything more . Loads of things can happen when your afk for ~5months. Kthxbai EDIT: Self-Help to the rescue. I have epic clan ts3 infoes, and 'working' TS3. and open ttd 1.4.4. also maybe steam. not sure at the moment but we will see.
I think I can attend, I tend to like these type of games. Really depends on when you start, but if most of everyone is europe anyway I don't see a reason to wait on the few americans/canadians.
Even if i am canadian,i can play. I got the idea of making a gigantic train station transporting a sh!ton of coal to a power plant.
Version number has to match I think, we will probably just be using what ever the latest stable version is.
Latest beta, so 1.50-beta1 atm. It'll be next weekend though if I even do it. I got my shit setup today but idk how busy I'll be next weekend.
