    If scout could climb walls, players would hop on top of the scouts and sort of teamclimb over. It would definitely make the scout a useful asset in team mobility.

    I too like the throwy ssd thats collectible. I think that they should do a set amount however instead of 50% like say they each do 100(cant remember armories health but each one should kill an armory).

    Question is, how long would it take to fully use its charge? 15 seconds? 30?

    If your in the building thats has a ssd on it, does your screen shake like a nade spam is going on next to you?

    If an engy starts to repair the dmg while the ssd is still attached what happens? Does it get shocked and pop off, or keep going?

    Throwing the SSDs(alt fire) should be as far as current nades can go (without the run boost) and since you are throwing them you should become uncloaked. Using primary fire you should be able to just set them where ever you are.

    Alternative to sticky: I wouldn't mind seeing these as area of effect. So if the enemy com places two building close enough the spy/scunt(what ever its going to be called) could drop one on the ground between the two or more buildings and effect them all but effect them less the further away they are from the buildings.

    Scouts "phasing" through walls, I think thats doable with scout only brushes on the walls. If thats possible to place dynamically. Although I think that would be just too weird.

    I really like the info gathering suggestions. That's one of the critical parts missing from Empires strategy. I would go even further and say that scouts should be able to find out enemy research too.

    Besides that I would only change the following:
    1. Don't place anything else on the minimap. Its already pretty crowded
    2. Fix hide so that the scout's contrast changes also (hide is useless on lighter textures)

    Which is even easier to spot than a reduced alpha texture, brilliant idea.

    Another new scout skill:

    Post the current research as team message when looking thru the binuclear on the enemy radar.

    With this ability commander could counter enemy research.
    Currently commanders select one research path at startup and if it's good or bad against the enemy research is mostly luck.

    its a Refracting Texture, empty was talking about it (basically water texture)

    Sabotaging vehicles overheats them. How's that?

    Some of the suggestions are good, some of them are bad. Some of them are overpowered, some of them nerf scout to hell.

    I never thought I would say this ;), but I really agree on what Trickster said in his first post in this topic.

    We can iterate. Let's choose 1 (count it: one) suggestion on what to change in scout and see how it fits into the game in playtesting. Then if it will be good it will stay and some other changes may emerge. The "whole big plan" of changing scout will not be easily accepted, but I think that small changes will get through if they are cool enough.
