I suggest the community does a gameplay with voice chat trailer like EVE did www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqoxRcP5kbo
We would need to watch our language and stop candles from spamming "rape". Then find a collection of people with mics that wont ruin everything.
That is what we could do, use a teamspeak for a separate audio so its easier to adjust than editing voices in the video. Then cut chatter in and out while the game plays, play speech during certain moments like probably the early game where the com's are giving direction would be an example. Basically we need to do a scrim for fun.
You want to have several people making commentary? I dont think its gonna work, too many people willing to grief such a thing
I was about to try to argue something but teef says you actually can seperate channels in ts, so disregard.
No I mean throw people in a teamspeak and play the game normally. Like instead of pressing the in-game push to talk just talk to the team via team-speak. And just record the audio in the team speak and sync it into footage they were in. Since the teamspeak has a record function you can easily cut audio if somebody is being an asshole, and yeah you can setup temp rooms and adjust the codex for them. I think a scrim would house the best environment for this kind of thing because we all know the rules and etiquette on scrimming and we have the tools. We just need the numbers. Somebody go piss off FN, I did it last time.
I'd definitely be down for anything you guys do. Empire's most major flaw is its lack of a player base.
So just get a scrim going on Saturday next week and record it? However, the Empires 2.0-trailer also had some parts showcasing features (i. e. scout sabbing a turret). I think we should make use of that again, especially for showing the new infantry weapons and particles.
Thats the thing, if you want trailer that is showing features, you mostly need some more people that will be cooperating. (or a lot of luck recording a pug/scrim) Scrims/pugs are just for the battles between those scenes. Every time I tryed recording a pug for something that would look like a trailer was a fail pug ending in less than 10 minutes Also comm view shots...we will probably need some mid game comm shots. Since it would be much much better to just have 1 person recording, because of quality thing, it would be much better to have this person jump in for few minutes in mid game (which might stagger the game for that team for a bit) So I guess the best would be to have a "recording pug" where there would be no all in rushes or where people would be expected to do stuff for the recording, not for the win. Iam pretty sure this would be a hard thing with the current playerbase ( no offense )
i think its better to stage everything then to wait for things to happen. id be willing to act if there is a rudimentary script and it doesnt turn into retards doing retarded things instead of what they are supposed to do like the last time i participated in something like this.
