The last official Empires-trailer is roughly 6 years old now. I think it is time for a new one. In addition, we should get the PR going again. The recent releases have gone by unnoticed, so we should post updates on ModDB and other Half-Life-related sites.

Yeah, the idea usually died quickly when someone brought it up. However, I still want to give it another try, even if it is just the two of us working on it for the moment being.

There seems to be never a good time for Empires to do a PR push, whenever you look at it, the most current version of Empires always has some fatal flaw that you want to hide from public.
I thought there was some terrible problems with using sfm and empires. I think all the materials and lighting was wrong. Mostly lighting, I think empires is missing some stuff for sfm to work properly, but it's been awhile since touched it.
Get people together and record it, don't discuss it on the forums, if you discuss it too much it will turn into a flamefest/10-15 pages offtopic.
I would definitely help, gonna have vacation starting end of this week, so Iam gonna have a lot of time.

and just btw, forget about recording demos demos are extremely glitched not only visually one of the reasons I dont have more videos (back to the topic before it becomes mr,die thread)
I was going to say this was kinda a bad time because there is a lot of shit broken unless people are willing to cut something using old footage.
I use FRAPS, however taxing it may be. Perhaps OBS or dxtory offer better performance while recording.
Just on the fly. Which is a bit of problem for me, because I dont get many fps while recording. Its enough FPS for a pretty smooth video, but not much fps for playing good while recording, it tends to lag my input quite a bit. Which is why I hate all those demo glitches Things would be much easier with recording from demos ... btw Using Dxtory with Lagarith loseless codec. Then upscale into 4K in vegas. Then you get video like the one in my sig.
