has anyone noticed how this map is boring now, because its impossible for NF to loose (unless there noobss) with light tank rush that is..
well it really depends how smart each team is a good BE team will have grens who kill lts and walls to slow them down
Com can drop walls to slow down NF aswell drop turrets, in worst case scenario engineers can put up walls and turrets aswell... If Bren gets taken out with their pants aroudn their ancles they deserved to loose to begin with
Its not like NF can go from building all the res nodes up to instantly having their entire team in LTs, there is time to build defences. put 1 mg on each side of wall close to it and MLs near the top. Use cntrl box to watch for incoming.
I think you'll find that one particular comm will make you swear at your screen because he spams walls everywhere (dizzy). =P Especially annoying on that map where you have to take down each layer one by one to get through.
might have been you dizzy; after taking down one of our sides, you spammed walls all over the res nodes. it took me and another engy, both with repair upgrade, 5 - 10 minutes just to get one of those nodes free again. I agree that the map is very unbalanced towards NF; if both teams work at the same pace, and get a VF and radar up imidiately after the res nodes are all done, then BE gets about 1 minute between doing the last res node, to getting some defence up before the first tanks arrive- and thats if the team don't all go help build the VF, which most people think is more important.
Not necisarrily. One time I distinkly rember as BE was we bult a VF imedietly and a APC went as all grenaders and enginers. Killed thier barracks and dispite the fact they had a VF never built a APC themselvs. Shortest game on Money Ive ever played.
if you get nubbed on money by the nf tank rush its your fault. 3 rows of walls can be safely fit accross both bridges, far apart enough and far back enough to aloow tanks by and to stop all oncoming tanks. turrets help. That settles the problem.
I think were getting into "OMG WE TEAMSTACKED AND TEH WON!".... But yeah I don't really think it is that bad. AFVs aren't that bad if your already close together...
Dude, any map will be over with a rush. By both sides. I remember in my newbie days, I got AFV rushed on money. That made me sad. But now i know to WALL SPAM THE HELL OUT OF THE EXITS. Problem Solved.
okey dokey, let me clarify what i mean, if you had two experienced teams on this map, then yes its even stevens. both teams have a chance of winning. but this hardly ever happens, what i meant this thread for was to get people to think of good ways of getting round the nf tank rush, i see some good reply's out there, like building walls; but i dont want to wall spam, and 3rows of walls cant be destroyed relatively easily. i WANT a strategy that could be enacted with a team of relative noobs to defend against the tank rush. not simple one sentence answers stating the obvious
Just about the only counter-strategy to this would be to attack with a couple of grenadiers in APC's straight away. Leave the rest of the team as engi's back at base building up ML turrets and walls. They couldn't ignore an attack on their barracks.
I always find that mines in the exits work wonders, but place them so that they wont explodes all together, even if the target navigates round them, they will be concentrating so hard that you can mowtar them to death anyway
