If you have that mastermind skill that increases pistol damage by 50%, then you can two-shot tans with a crosskill or signature 40. If not, then it's 3 shots.
I guess so, but that does require quite a few mods. Deagle and bronco are fantastic right out of the box, and don't really need to mods to be useful in the harder difficulties. PS. I have not so good luck with getting mods, so most of my weapons only have half the upgrades or almost none.
All the minmaxer setups skip the sight which I find really helpful, almost to the point of necessity (but not quite). Granted, it's a slight concealment loss in exchange for higher accuracy. @Spartacus Sure sounds good, but it's not pin-point accurate and I'm feeling hipster when playing PAYDAY
So you're telling me your payday crew looks like this? Also, accuracy in assault rifles has a hard cap at 18 unless you use skills. For example, if you had technician's sharpshooter skill, than you get 22 accuracy, but you're not getting 22 without some kind of skill to get over the 18 cap.
Good to know about the accuracy. And no, I'm definitely the only person in the crews I play with that doesn't rock 3~ visibility setups and the like. Deal with it.
