Looked at the manual, watched a round in spec, started playing. Found out the manual is out dated, looked at the wiki, found it was just as out dated, updated wiki. Not sure if its a good thing, but can quote the important parts of the vehicle scripts.
theres a manual? j/k ofc i read it. i thought i might find things that aint so obvious - and guess what - i did ...
He had little battlemaps which were laminated and he used whiteboard marker to put in arrows and numbers and tactics too.
I read both the manual and the how not to be a noob guide in the wiki, and the manual really helped, and the noob guide told me how not to be a noob due to reverse psychology and just common sense, but I still had things to learn of course, but the manual did help
Never read it. Reading a manual for a game spoils the most enjoyable part of it IMO,learning. I prefer understanding a game rather than getting the answers outa a book. As long as your not a complete retard there should be no problem starting without reading the manual(whateva the fk that is).
Only really needed to give you the basics on starting the game, so you're not useless for a few hours (days?) - like as a scout. The other reason is if you need to find some advanced knowledge, you can refer back to it.
