Hard to see out of NF jeep

This isn't exactly a bug, so I figured this would be a better place to put it.
The bars across the front of the NF jeep obstruct half the screen. Which sucks.
Could they be moved back or be made transparent or something?

 

No, I just always hoped they're bullet proof.


If they obstruct half your screen, they should obstruct half the bullets about to hit you.

 

It's not like bullets are a big problem when you're in a jeep.

 

I was just going to post he same suggestion, Driving the NF jeeps is quite annoying experience becose you can really see anything.

 

Then you guys need to learn how to drive a jeep. O_o

 

is this in 1.08? If so, I would advise that all threads about 1.08 be posted in the 1.08 forum.

Never had a problem with jeeps in 1.07- myself.

 

It's the same model, so it applies to both versions. If the NF jeep has the added benefit of more protection for the passengers, then I wouldn't mind seeing this stay in; it differentiates the sides a little more. If, however, it's impossible to shoot people in BE jeeps anyway, then I think it should be a little more balanced so that both jeeps have roughly the same visibility.

 

Well didnt they change the collision on the models so that the pasengers can shoot out in this version? BE may not be protected any more. Will need to be tested.

 

There was a bug where players couldn't fire out of BE jeeps, the collisions were changed.

 

The collisions were changed, and the players' view points were changed.

 

I've been shot at in a BE jeep and taken damage, so there's no inherent protection or anything.

 

Oh its possible to get hit in moth jeeps. Its just hard to do so. I admit I would be interested in seeing in how much of a diffrence once I get off work if any one else is interested in testing. (8pm EST)

 

Jeeps are usually used to go from point A to point B for now, nothing more, nothing less. Maybe jeeps alone need to be made to be taken over by the enemy (most other vehicles would have more foreign equipment, unfamiliar to the opposite faction?) so they can drive them places, instead of leaving the map littered with jeeplets.

 

If you have rcon, change cam_command to 1 and the cam_yaw to your preference.

 

Make the bars thinner. A jeep with bars that thick should not explode when it flips.

 

didn't you know, the bars are filled with nitroglycerin, thats why they are so thick.

 

Nitroglycerin is good for the heart. They do that so that they don't have to put warnings about people with heart conditions not able to ride.

 

You know, if I didn't know any better, I'd guess that the Krenz is getting a little sick and tired of the pages and pages of posts of consumer feedback.

 

we still need to be able to see somewhat out the side. Your literally taking risks when you make a left turn since you cant see whats there

 

ah so it takes skill to drive a jeep? Finally no noobs buying jeeps! We should change the BE one into a windowless tank :D
