Grenadier fails in combat.

I can't take it anymore. In front line battles the gren is powerless to support his team mates in the anti infantry role. The pistol just isn't cutting it and there are never enough riflemen around to fill the void.

I propose that a new infantry weapon be made for the grenadier, something like a carbine or a shotgun.

Ideas for radical new carbine idea,

The NF could have a shortened heavy rifle with awful accuracy but high damage and the BE could have a carbine version of their assault rifle with good accuracy but low stopping power, somewhat simmilar to the M4. The BE assault rifle looks alot like an M16 which means a carbine could just be a scail down, so I don't really see a huge problem with models.

Well, what do you think. New weapon or not, the gren is pretty defenseless when it comes to combat.

I've played entire rounds as a gren with a pistol. And gotten tons of pistol kills.

Gren is harder to play, yes...but not impossible. Furthermore, a rifleman SHOULD beat a gren. Period.

 

EPIC FAIL. The Grenadier is NOT an anti-infantry but an anti-vehicle.

 

It shames me to admit I'm killed by more grens then I am rifleman.

 

There is something called the mortar. And it is very useful at longer ranges against infantry behind cover. For all my considerable bitching about classes the Grenadier is FINE. The only thing wrong with it is that it doesn't properly fulfil the role of taking down vehicles.

I however, would not disagree to making the Heavy Machine Gun the providence of the Grenadier (re: Heavy Weapons) though. But that's purely aesthetic of course.

Seriously, take that FUCKING mortar away from grenadiers, I know it's loved, but it can go to someone else, give it to the riflemen or something.

Grenadiers are for antitank, rifleman are for anti-infantry.

i love the heavy pistol, after the riflemans rifle its the best weapon in the game to me, killed loads of all kind of classes with it

 

My mortars are cherry flavored and I like to share the joy by generously distributing them to the faces of any nearby enemies.

 

Who says a gren is AT? Gren is explosives. Deal with it. Fix the rocket.

You've never seen people killing APCs with mortars have ye?

 

I know of no fighting force ever that only equipped one type of frontline soldier with a side arm and nothing else.
