Uhh, a Fission bomb is a nuke. Is it really that important that we change the name, guys? Especially when it's for the sake of realism alone... I think that it's fine as it is.
The only difference is that in fusion bombs you use deuterium or tritinium to "fuse" in the heat produced by the initial nuclear explosion caused by the "traditional" part of the device. It gives out hell of a lot more blast than a traditional one. Linky for the non-believers. :D

They do use Uranium rounds during war time at this present moment that is suppose to beat a tank to crap. They are also dangerious for the crew to handle obviosuly... The name doesn't make sense to the actual round though. Why not just use the name Uranium (SP?) and be done with it?
Than I stand corrected if there is an actual "nuclear" explosion. If there is no "nuclear" explosion than it is not "nuclear"... may be it's name, but is a false one. Like I said militaries (USA) of today do use Uranium rounds in real combat, it is a lot more deadlier than a reg round both the initial hit and the contamination later... or so I have heard... it has to be small... but still deadly.
I've heard that splitting one U235 yields approximately as much energy as burning one ton of coal does (not exactly exact units there, but it works), so maybe if the nuke is only splitting one atom... Nah, probably not. Either way, the nuke in Empires is a nuke in name only. It's a noob-friendly title that describes just how powerful the weapon is in relation to others. Keep in mind that Krenzo works with nuclear power for a living, too, so it's not some oversight or something.
