The Nuke trully is the most powerful weapon in the game and is used the second it is reseached. The main problem is strangely enough the nuke is under powered, even micro nukes are massivily powerful, and ALL key word ALL nukes are dangerous to use in that they produce radiation that contaminats the area making it dangerous to walk into. So I suggest get rid of them, rename them, or give a penalty for useing them. Contaminating an area would be a interesting idea for the game also most of all the a mushroom cloud is needed if nukes remain

it sounds like someone just came outta a game where the other team gt nukes early and owned him, so now hes mad.
theres no problem with nukes. u get 7 shots. it does lotsa dmg, is slow to recharge, and heats up fast. remember, gameplay > realism, so every game has to have a slow uber weapon.

I would like to see them contaminating an area with radiation. But other than that, I think they're fine. They aren't a one shot kill (unless you bought that paper tank the comm told you not to. If you did, then shame on you) and they really put a strain on your heat bar, even if you have adv coolant, so they can't take you out THAT easily. And one more point, ITS EXPENSIVE AS HELL TO RESEARCH. Thank you for your time.

Don't remove the nuke. It's a great weapon already but isn't too overpowered.

I just dont care Nukes being such a weak and non hazerdous weapon compaired to real life sorry if I seem crewd I sorta like stuff to act and do what the name implies what do u think when u hear the word nuke. And the only time nuketanks bug me is when there is a nuketank rush.

Have you ever played with GRIM GIBBER? The nightmares... He can pop your head off with a nuke from across the map.

Ah. Yeah it's the people that get pawned by em that hate em. I recently lost a match to a team that rushed with four nuke tanks at once. But I don't hate the nuke. The first thing I do in escort is grab a nuke tank and nuke the elevated NF area. Then go for the defending turret in front of the first flag. This works 80% of the time unless someone rushes with mines. All in all, I think a small nuke cloud would be cool. But as far as radiation is concerned lets just pretend they have a substitute for uranium and now gives off far less radiation. Its the future right?

PS: I have played a match with GRIM GIBBER in a nuke tank. The nuke bashing ensues soon after. :D

As far as I know, they aren't supposed to actually be fission/fusion warheads. The name is just supposed to explain that it's a big "Kill Shit" button.

when i hear nuke, i dont think "dirty bomb". i think a huge ass explosion that kills shit around it. but in a game where tanks can shoot shells that create nuclear exposions, u cant expect it to be flippin realistic!!!

Hah. Just leave them be. Or increase the damage a bit, it's a bit low considering the slow reload rate and how easy it is to shoot down by tanks with HE cannnons(and sometimes by grens mortar), also the heat output is a bit too high taking into consideration the lack of power in the damn thing. :) Slightly more power leave everything else be(more damage, blast radius the same). :) Or don't change it at all. I'll be happy either way.

    A renaming would do.

Perhaps, Neutron bomb is what your referring to yes, to cleaner but, still fallout and contamanation for a time. Nuke=Nuke (NUCLEAR) Hate Nukes hardly use em but when I do I want them to be real. (Empire Earth).......Even take out your own equipment if they're there! Leave them in and make em more real!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where's the blinding flash and the mind blowing wind blast?!!!!!! (Concussion wave)

I wanted to say: Empires' Nukes are not what you used to know as Nukes.
It's more like a big shell or so.
I say, leave it as it is.

There is no actual nuclear device aside from a dirty bomb that can create an explosion that small.

You could probably fit a nuke into a missile that size, but it'd destroy the entire enemy base at once. And probably the entire map, too.

Lets make some Jargon like Fission bomb or something, it is the future so they must have found another way of making an explosion like that... It's too clean for a nuke and too powerfull to be a regular shell...

Let's just rename it to something techy...

the nukes are semi realistic in empies , i mean being in a tiny missile and all. The USA used nukelier tipped shells in the first Irak war. although there both not quite the same , there farily close to being simaler.
NOTE. USA no longer uses nukelier tipped shells , after locals started randomly dieing years later. , or so they say

one criticisme about these "nukes" and arty shells is the visable blast radius dosn't mach up to the damage area.
i would like this to be sorted , makes being arty'd more barable.

I thought they used depleted uranium only. :p It's harder than copper or steel and can penetrate armor at ease. And even though it was depleted uranium the rezidue left from penetration is still radioactive.

FYI you can fit a several kiloton nuke in only a bit larger space than a coffee cup. That's enough to level a city block(one kiloton refers to the power of 1000 TNT sticks blown simultaneously). :D

    "Nuclear-tipped shells"

Depleted uranium shells. That's all. They're really heavy, so they work well. They don't explode, though. We've already got a depleted uranium MG.

And yeah, it'd be nice if the explosion particle effects matched the explosion size. This itty-bitty explosions for gargantuan blast thing is getting annoying.

Edit1: Oh, btw, I do believe the minimum mass of ?uranium? required to create a nuclear device is fourteen pounds (I know, pounds aren't mass. STFU. I don't feel like converting to slugs or kilograms).

    Edit2: Okay, I was off by a bit. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Critical_mass

    But still...

    Changing the name of Nukes

    1. The blast radius is too small

    2. Not enough damage stats

    3. Have no animation effect whatsoever

So I'd propose we rename it to something else so we're all given the illusion that it's something else besides a nuke missile strapped on a heavy.

I'll start: MOBM (Massive Ordnance Burst Missile)
