ammoboxes on district is more OP then nukes on district. At least with nukes the map can progress in one direction or another much quicker.
That "might" be fixed. I don't know off the top of my head, but I know Jephir was rather upset when people were doing it in one of the playtests, so he might have fixed it then.
People hate district because of the nade spamming at middle. Grenades and mortars do no splash damage when they explode underwater. (no pun intended) Add a little water in the middle of district. ??? profit
Fairly sure they do cause damage. At least, I could swear I've taken damage. Also, Alt3 fixed it by removing ammobox placement from engineers. And turrets. That is why Alt3 is the best version of district.
oh wait, it does no splash damage to buildings. Because I kept trying to mortar a turret that was in water and it wouldn't take any damage. Only direct hits above the water worked. Same story with sesimics.
viper only has two gimmicky maps for the longest time and they are configured to only be played 3 times a day if voted. But the problem with what you asking us to do is..everyone has a different idea of what a good or bad map is and I am talking about even the official maps. This has been an age old problem with the maps. What you may think is a good map rotation there will most likely be several who dislike it. So how does trickster or me make a mapcycle that everyone likes.. afaik that's close to impossible.
there is only 1 district on VIPER and always has been 1 and it's alt4 until the official district is fixed. I set up the plugin I use to only allow 1 infantry map per mapvote and in the last several months, infantry maps almost never win the vote.
What's up with official District? I don't use it because Alt3 is bestest, but what's broken with the official one?
I redid my mapcycle a bit. removed a few custom maps for now (smokies, shadows, rainbowroad, harrys money (until it's redone and better) hobbes, until it's redone and better). made 3 groups instead of 2. Official maps gets 3 maps in every map vote Custom maps gets 2 maps in every mapvote Infantry maps gets 1 map in every mapvote. I have always listened to the player base or tried to. If enough people complain about any of the maps that were removed, they will be re added. Meanwhile I removed Octagons about 6 months ago and never heard a peep shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

eastborough is really not an 8 player map... its got 7 flags (soon to be 8). it needs at least 16 players to make it playable
But I love octagons. D: If commanders weren't so easy to be ninjaed/9mined off the edge it would be so much more enjoyable. Also emp_escort_alt5 is now terribly favored for NF since armor scripts (unless you stack BE like mad), can we has emp_escort on all servers instead?
