Empires Summer Scrim League Game 5 - 18th July 21:00 BST/ 16:00 EDT/ 13:00 PDT

That isn't really the problem I have with it. I have no time to practice and formulate a building strategy for the map since I didn't know what it was until Trickster posts a thread. Chances are X-Ray will get at least 1 win today off the back of my mistakes as a commander.

The last time this happened we lost on midbridge because we got research screwed (no one informed me there was a patch on plasma)

 

I thought your confusion on plasma was that it was 'suddenly' a 3 slot weapon that time.

The patch wasn't that significant either - and it would have been a dick move without the patch to boot.

 

To be fair, we lost because of the roster.

I woke up too late,dammit.

 

First game became very much one team hammering the other team's base. The lag was pretty bad (though not from spec) and there was a lot of crying and generally very unpleasant behaviour from some players on quebec over it. After a long period of sorting out swapping to VIPER and reorganising things, we played round 2 on the VIPER pug server. As it happened, this round never really ended up with 1 team stuck in their main base while being ML spammed so it's difficult to judge whether it was the map or server, though a number of Xray players complained of bad lag over steam. Eventually Xray lost round 2 because of a huge ticket deficit and quicker research by Lawliet. Overall 2 well played rounds with fair results.

Next game will either be Chain or Insurrection.

 

Viper lagged when medspam started but then it stabilised into something that was manageable.

 

As trickster said some people on quebec complained, he's basically indirectly saying me. It was a joke, the round should've been called off the second the lag started, it's not fair to waste peoples time and call a round due to negligence on map picking to a map that is known to be shit.

In all honesty I'm very disappointed with this summer league and it's organization, in many respects it's been a joke. Sure it's been sort of fun but at the same time equally stupid.

More than you, but you are without a doubt one of them. The implication that Forest was known to have those problems is absurd, no-one knows how it'll hold up under scrim pressure because games like that never happen in pub play. It was a map agreed by both team leaders, I usually speak to both after the games.

As for your "disappointment", ok, great, it's glad to know the time I put in is appreciated. If the organisation is that bad, then you're welcome to step up and start running an event yourself. If not, you're equally welcome to fuck off and stop participating. Either works for me.

 

What the fuck is wrong with people seeing insults when there are none.

You cant say anything negative because muh feelings.
People were stating what the felt because it annoyed them as hell.
I dont recall seeing people type out "trickster sucks dicks".
Lag happened. Tough shit in the end, but if you take peoples opinions as insults then its all you, not them.

Can I just go ahead and say that we should have a pug next week instead of a league game.

I have been getting messages from new players which wanted to join the game and I had to tell them off. Also some people which aren't able to join because of time-issues or numbers of each team are also left out.

In my opinion we need a break from these league games to have some public games again.

 

As if sunday is the best date to hold one.

Especially after league games.

 

As long if we can have a normal fucking pick up game and not spike pushing people around because it strikes his fancy.

 

This is a completely valid response and I appreciate that you put time into organizing this but some of this shit is just sad.
