What if we didn't stray too far from the way it looks now, but simply do a visual update. Something similar to the way Slashdot recently updated their own look to be more in sync with modern web design trends. I can keep the same basic color scheme and simply make visual tweaks to details. I feel I can do a job that you would approve of, and that wouldn't significantly alter your vision for the website, but makes my job of integrating things like a press release easier.

The reason I want php is to have some sort of mysql database to handle news posts and a gallery. If you can do that while either keeping the current look or making it look like the forums, then yeah.

 

I could do that. Having news / gallery php-based makes it so much easier to update. I'd rather make it look like the forums because I don't especially like the current front page look. However, would it be distinctive enough if it looked like the forum?

 

Bad news: the parts of the trailer that I've copied to my external HDD and brought to uni with me are not enough to re-render it, therefore I cannot change 1.08 to read 2.0 without recompressing, which will frankly look horrible. So we have three options: recompress and sacrifice quality; leave it there and hope nobody notices; cut off the ending entirely.

 

could you redo the ending?

Nice site... I love the lighboxes (screenshot pop-ups)... Please replace the player with a flash substitute, which is more universal.

I think the site could use a touch up. The colour scheme can work, but it could be much prettier

I was thinking it would be really cool if we could have a duel-site layout. When you enter the site you would be asked which side you want, Brenodi or NF and it would enter the appropriate site. Like it could be the same site but maybe with just different colors and images. Just a suggestion.

The dual themes would be really cool, esp if they included bits of the storyline which changed (like the load screens)

 

Thanks to the wonders of PHP and CSS, a theme for each in-game faction is entirely feasible. Personally, I think that's a great idea. Coffeeburrito and I are well used to working with Evan on web projects, and both of us would love to help out.

How about it, Krenzo? A refresh/update of the current "Brenodi" theme and the introduction of a Northern Faction red-based theme?

Buy new external HD which is 1TB big. Where you waste all your hard drive space? I'm totally fine with my 120GB and 80GB HDs.

Well then leave it there and tell people that the 1.08 is incorrect.

 

Can't you just redo the ending and then append it to a sliced old version? It was just text right? The sound could be split into two seamless sections.

 

I don't know how to join two DivX files together, or even if it's possible. If somebody can tell me how to do it, then I'll try my best. Really, this is the worst possible time for this to happen for me though!
