Update: Apparently 17000 brush faces is too many to compile a map. Flasche, the NF walls are too detail XD. So, I'm converting sections of the wall to a model format and turning them into static models. This will prevent turret placement on them, and it will also allow for the detailed walls that want without giving up detail to make them. will be using zenarion's suggestion of using Milkshake and a converter tool to create the models from the vmf of the wall sections.
Since when could you not place turrets on static props? The crates in things like money are static props and you can place turrets on those can't you?
I'm 100% sure you can do it with engineer turrets. I'm not so sure about commander turrets, mainly because there are so few props that offer enough flat space for the commander to put a turret down.
yea, i suspected that IF normal details cant be built on then clip brushes where the way to make it happen
