Sometimes they even turn completely black. I know the issue, and if necessary, I'll copy and paste the proper files and format it for general use.
thats why I added 200 more tickets ^_^ say you have a full 64 man server. half the server is newbs. they all run south, trying to feel important, and slaughter eachother for an hour or two. In the mean time, the vets are in the north having epic tank battles on non flat terrain and building super forts for lols. it's perfect!
Actually i think the map should have some more flat terrain in the center to promote epic tank battles.
bleh, the only flat areas are going to be around the center, and then the center is going to be epic terrain battles with tanks. Side note, took several months to find and fix the error with the displacements, so as of now, the displacements won't be changed unless it's absolutely necessary
so flasche has been working on helping me with some brushwork, here's some preliminary results. I still need to propify it some more.
If a tank veers onto the land just outside of those walls, it can't get back onto the road? Fix plz. (Though, it can just drive across the river at the fjord in the lower right.)
hmm. You can fjord the river at almost any point, even with a standard engine. This may be fine. i'll test it out. It may also help make the fort more of a fort, and make it easier to protect if there is a very limited access point for tanks. *edit* actually, I may just put a slight ramp on the side of that to let you simply drive back up the side.
Metalsmith, for the sake of screenshots, put anisotropic filtering 16x and texture detail up. Just for the screenshot.
Graphics settings are not going to fix the nasty looking displacements and ground texture. Sorry metal smith.
Alright, I'm moving the delta stuff over to a new vmf which I planned on making a different map, but it's pointless now, as the layout is too similar. There are many reasons for this, the biggest reason being that the vmf is much neater, and has a proper displacement base to work with. It is also possible to include more variety in the textures, as they are smaller and easily broken up. Overall, I'm converting the echo map design to what delta is currently. if you haven't seen echo before, there are some screenshots in it's thread here: http://forums.empiresmod.com/showthread.php?t=9856 Unfortunately, I no longer have the working release, and I do not think it's available. unless trickster found one to put in his map pack from somewhere.

Looks nice(the bridge, the fortress, the trees, the terrain). But the displacement still look awfull. You tried to make cliffs I see, but it ended up in horrible looking stretched displacements.
