The smoke in his is slightly browner on the right, maybe the fire lighting up the smoke a bit. It's actually not a bad touch.
Chris is colourblind so he has to guess as far as the colour green is concerned. :p Still looks great though.
I read E6400 for some reason...the 8400 should def handle a GTX280 pretty well - I'm fully aware that quad cores don't help most games, save offloading non-game related tasks to other cores (and hey, that helps quite a bit...) The motherboard doesn't have that much of an effect. He was able to overclock with it, meaning it is probably pretty stable. It can easily handle the videocard simply because the videocard is PCIe - it's a spec. The videocard automatically gets 8-16 lanes. I've found memory to not have much effect; certainly not enough to bump a framerate by 20-30. Has anyone noticed he says he had no problems with empires before? The fact his framerate was more than halved is pretty strange.
I don't bother using it, I notice the FPS drop more than I do the aliasing. Probably the fact that taking off my glasses turns my built in AA on helps too.
my built in AA is so powerful that i can only accurately observe stuff closer to me then 2 or so meter probably X250 or something
My built-in AA is so powerful that i can't read my screen if it's further than 30cm from my eyes. But yeah, i also say fps>AA, but i do max AF out no matter what.
