I enjoy slaughtered, but I don't act for a second like there's any strategy involved. I enjoy it purely for the stealth aspect, because I'm always the person trying to sneak through. If I'm not doing that, then the map has no redeemable qualities for me personally. And the problem with maps for small teams is that people insist on playing them with 64, even though it's totally inappropriate.

actually i take that back. no games are playable on a 4v4 because if someone decides to go sabotage scout theres no way youre ever going to save your buildings with that bullshit dot
People like it cause theirs a clusterfuck all the time so the boring downtime of running around is minimized.
I was about to call bullshit on your 4v4 claim until you said this. You have redeemed yourself and proved you know low player empires mod. The scout sab dot is so powerful even in 8v8 or 16v16 it can level a base before anyone reacts, since with those populations, if one person leaves the front line it can be a major blow to their squad and the position they're trying to hold.
never got that either. i still think the -50% health debuf is quite enough to make sabotage powerful with teamwork. thats all under the premise that a lone scout shouldnt be able to take out a base ...
Well, I set up a voting system that allowed this using some plugin I found, and I helped Vicki get it set up too, so now, yes. But this only happened within the last 6 months or so.
this plus a turbo boost for all vehicles for pushing lines when absonecessary dude what makes empires great is that it's a free battlefield clone
overall i think that instead of reducing hull health, armors should be heavier such that it's really difficult to fully plate a tank like, if you have a light tank, to get full armor, you'd only get like one weapon this forces high variance in tank variety instead of the same 50 fully plated tanks. some people want equal balance on all sides some people want heavy armor in one location and none on other sides that way tank customization becomes meaningful and players put thought into what they're doing the 2x2x2x2 std ml + std cn light tank is way too common increasing the armor weight facilitates higher level operational thinking
It was hard killing tanks with the current scripts (not EPIC server scripts), and now you want to slow it down even more by removing weapons from tanks ? What's going to stop someone from making a heavy with 6 plates , no weapons and just rush through enemy tanks, there's nothing they can do about it because they only have one cannon armed on their tank.
nono no we're not removing weapons on tanks. we're making it less likely for people to have full armor AND full weapons on a tank they can have no plates and more weapons or more weapons and less plates more significantly than they do now it's forces a tradeoff between weapons and armor instead easily having both
You're right, that's a good idea. If we have to choose between halving armor HP (or w/e) and making armor twice as heavy, I have to agree that the heavier armor is better.
