I may be wrong about this (I'm no modeler) but those renders are know as high-poly. they have to be reduced in detail to low poly versions before they can be added to the game. Hence half the reason they look so much more pimp than the current ones.

The current ones are ok in terms of quality in my opinion. I mean how much time to you actually spend admiring the fine details in PvP? General style is more important to me than graphical pimpyness. (new word!) The current jeeps for example, suck, and not because they don't have finely detailed gas cans. Still, the teddybear on the new NF jeep better make it into the game! Or I'll...I'll....stamp my feet and cry.....I will!

I am sorry. It seems it's true what they say about sarcasm (it doesn't transmit over keyboard very well).
Putting gas cans on a tank is an extreamly stupid idea.
If You want space for fuel - just put it with the (armoured) MAIN fuel tank. External fuel tank would result in a leak and/or fire. One _infantry_ bullet would make a hole in the canister and the fuel would leak on the tank and off it, so You could even light it after the tank has passed You and the flames would catch up. Besides, tank that big would drink fuel extreamly fast, much faster than guys could refill it with canisters, so the whole idea is extreamly unrealistic.
If this will get implemented, I will demand a new taunt for BE like: "Hah, You put canisters on Your tanks!".

About the axe... How often do You get off the tank to chop some wood?
Maby the tank is steam-powered (lol^2) and some branches are too big so they need to be chopped to smaller pieces before they are thrown into the boiler?

Canisters and axes should be removed (from the new jeep model too). The only use of the axe I can imagine is to grab it as a handy weapon used to split the drivers head in two.

The models are good, but those small things would make players laugh when we don't want them to. Imo.

    1. FUCK REALISM
    2. IF a bullet hit a gas can attached to METAL it would definitely EXPLODE.

Alright, we'll just make a model without anything on it. Players care about realism in a mod where buildings appear from thin air, as do tanks, where a single infantryman can carry around 15 mortars, 10 rockets, 10 mines, plus a lot of pistol ammo. Because in real life, tanks don't have ANY other materials or tools on them.

    A tank. With bags.

"C'm over here corporal. We need to move all this shit up the road, and our trucks just got blown to shit. What do you suggest?"
    "Sir, we carry it, sir!"
"No you fucking moron! Tie it to the [French puppies] tanks!"
"Sir! And the fuel drums, sir?"
"And the fucking fuel drums numbnuts! A tank that can't take an exploding fueldrum sure as shit won't stop a [French soldiers] armor piercing shell, now will it soldier?"
    "Sir! No! Sir!"

Things can be put on tanks and, as you say, people do put them there. It doesn't mean that tanks would come as standard with a cup holder (on the outside), coat stand and a handy shopping bag.

Ahem, fuel cans/drums only explode if they are hit by an incendiary round, not even tracers ignite them. Also, most tanks run on deisel fuel which is much less likely to burst into a fire ball than gas due to its lower fume emmisions. If one of the cans were to ignite it would burn off without too much harm to the tank. It is, after all, made of several inches of steel.

Why did [French kittens] get censored, and not 'fucking'???

But anyhoo, even if it's not common to see tanks covered in baggage, this is just a game. A none to realistic game. So to me the real question is, does it make the tanks look cooler? In my opinion, it suits the NF raggedy look, but maybe less so the BE.

It's all about detail and that they look cool and interesting.

Have you noticed that NF's jeep has all kinds of bags and a shovel on it?

Has anyone used them? No, but they look very good on it. So let all those details be on that tank, they make it look better.
