well get proof, because what your saying is that tank manufactures WANT the tanks to get blown up, which almost always means a LOSS OF HUMAN LIFE. i highly doubt thats part of the design.

And I really doubt explosion from some external fuel tank can destroy a tank. Disable it, maybe, but destroy it? That's like hitting a tank with HE round. Not to mention the power of explosion tends to go toward the direction with the least resistance.

combined with the shell that hits it, it could. AP shell + hitting gas can = HE AP shell

lol like the militarys actually care about human life, I saw an A.F.V. on the military channel the other day that had a the feul tank right on the passanger door and when it was shot all the flames would fly in and kill everyone inside.. This was a flaw that was later fixed so I dont think they want to let tanks die but at the same time they could care less about people dieing.. they act like they care

Actually, he's saying that the tank manufactures don't want the tank to be blown up. They put it on the outside of the tank because if you stick it inside the tank, and something sets it off...

Explosion + confined space = Boom

    But

Explosion + open space = reduced damage, or possibly no damage

They put the fuel tanks outside the protective armor of the tank for a reason. BTW Dubee, if something has pierced the armor of your tank, the crew is probably already dead from the billions of little pieces of shrapnel it produces.

no, he clearly said it was so that the tanks get destroyed so that they make more money off of the replacement.

what you said may be the truth, but I was going on about what he was saying.

    KILLX: money is everything..
Explain to me why Povidone-iodine based products nowadays have a Shelf life of 2 years and it had a shelf life of 50+ 60 years ago ;)

There are more examples.. fact is the sooner a sold product gets obsolete/" destroyed" without people being able to lead it back to the manufacturer the more money they make.

Will this one replace the current NF-heavy? That would be so badass... I would say, give it 2 rocket pods with 2 ml-slots and then give NF a armor-breaking cannon, that might fire slower than the HE-cannon but does triple damage.

When I saw that I was like wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

    That looks awesome.

And howcome people think that is a size medium tank? That thing is at least as big as NF's CV... and even wider...

Edit: And I made this post after I read only DonMegel's post.

Anyway, nice looking tank and I didn't consider that as a medium tank at all when I first saw it. When I looked all the pictures through it seemed like it was even bigger than the NF's CV or at least the same size what it is.

There is. Just look at the hatch's size, cans' sizes and the axe's size. I took the scale from those.

In my opinion, that one would actually be better as heavy-tank, because if this would be the heavy-tank, the problem with the stretchyness would be fixed. In addition it looks more advanced as the current one.
But I´m still fine with the old new heavy-model.

That new tank makes the current ones look as though they lack a lot of detail. Maybe the current models could do with a bit of polishing.
