when you are dead and you cannot spawn because there are no more tickets... you have to wait for a revive, that can be really annoying. Make it so that you can follow the other teammates. Like in counterstrike for example. Right now if you die between 4 walls and you have to wait 10 mins for a revive you can only see 4 walls If you have claustofobia it can make you quit the game!!!
Flags. Even on escort, where I've won once or twice as NF capping BE's first flag :p Anyway you can still make a timer to end the round without using tickets I believe. Good suggestion though. Also when being revived it will automatically close the ingame chat menu, causing me to immediately kill myself again by hitting my kill key, thinking I was typing a message.
keep tickets only for those maps. added benefit of further distinguishing them from the maps that dont suck.
Or we could just remove those maps completely. *ducks* But seriously, for the real suggestion, I thought I suggested this a while back? It's pretty obvious. Let dead players spec when they have zero tickets. Who cares if they ghost, they could just ghost anyway by going spec. It won't change the gameplay and will at least slightly help with part of the game that is really annoying.
This. Tickets are really just a proxy for time (where you can control the speed through revives/not dying). Escort is pretty much 'Can BE cap all the flags within an hour?' where tickets are used as the timer. Same goes for glycencity/urbanchaos/district/etc. I think it would be less confusing and more FPS standard to have a timer rather then a kludged ticket/timer system.
I did not say anything about the tickets :p Just make it so that you can see first person of your teammates. Now don't talk about tickets anymore and just say, hey that's a cool idea !!
I'd rather have it as... VESS(?) said, have a looooooong spawn time, perhaps 30 seconds, when the tickets are down.
This could actually make the stalemates end faster as well, if one team runs out of tickets instead of super turtling and reviving they will just spawn at the earliest opportunity and continue to run into gunfire to die, since they still can spawn. But the delay will cost them without a doubt still, they have 6 guys on the front line instead of 12 and just get ground down bit by bit. But not in a blatantly obvious way like no tickets do, you wont go past the front line with no tickets lest you not be able to get rev'd. Although maybe something longer than 30 sec, depends really on the map and how far the normal time to run to the front line is.
i think the time idea is great! but 30 seconds seems too low for me (take note that the game should "end" soon after tickets dry up and that you can always be revived by your teammates
how nice of you, id say more something in the nature of OP is patching up the symptoms of the problem, most of the other ideas attack the problem directly
