Going for Bohemia to help Rocket develop it as a standalone game was a huge mistake. ARMA 3 is just ARMA 2 with nicer graphics, so I doubt DayZ standalone will be different. New models, sounds, less bugs and that, sure, but in it's very core it will still be the annoying and merciless shitcake that DayZ is.

 

Except this time you can swim underwater with your zombies!

 

Dayz is great but arma 2 itself is a horrible game, and as that it's a horrible platform for any mod, so I kinda have hopes for standalone dayZ but if it is in the end published by the same arma 2 guys ... buckets of tears.
I don't really get how one can make such a bad pathfinding for AI, but nvm that, the bigger issue is the "features" it has, realistic infantry combat aka pinpoint rocketsniping with bulletdrop mechanics? AI teammates falling back or going prone infront of heaps of enemys instead of following you to safty? And even more so, the bugs, brrr, just had an older enemy jeep despawn on me while I were driving it fullspeed, giving me lolz and elevation. /rant
