I understand, it's just very, very, veeerrrryyy hard to explain for someone who may only be used to mic chat in Empires, but once you start playing any other game where players use mic chat a lot, you will notice the colossal difference between the players. And I'm not talking about specpires I mean the real thing, players usually use the mic chat to say stuff like "rax here", "ref there", "enemy has heavies", "mortar that rax", etc. In other games, you just have people using the mic chat to just talk nonsense constantly, and not the funny nonsense players talk about in CSS, no it's just shit that clogs up your headphones while you are trying to play the game, and there is a way higher frequency(no pun intended) in prepubescent players with mics, it's not even funny, empires only has like 1 per 50.

 

One of the big reasons that I play emp is because of this, that it has a community one can talk to rather than the usual "stop using the noobtube" or "fuck you noob".

 

This is what killed empires for me. After 2.12 people just started spamming useless shit there too. "I build a jeep" "i'm going north" "you shouldn't research that" derppa derp. Especially true on vipers .

 

Yet another bug in the game. The cow gave me 8 meat, but when I went to cook it, I had ten cooked meat and four more "invisible" cooked meat. When I ate a piece of cooked meat, another one appeared until I ate the fifth piece, at which point they started leaving my inventory.

Same thing happened before when I picked up two jerry cans with only two open spots in my inventory. They didn't actually appear in my inventory, nor did they replace anything else until I tried to interact with my inventory, which caused them to appear and shove four other items onto the ground.

 

Well yeah, empires has degenerated into lots of players putting their faux-tactical chatter on the mic, but it wouldn't be so bad if the voice chat system was like the one in Arma 2 where you can switch between channels.

 

Yes, squad channels would be awesome.

Read "after longer periods of time" relogging, no insta relogging. And like I said, duping is annoying so why would I do such a thing? :D

Rocket Hall has announced that hotfix 1.7.2.5 for his massively popular zombie MMO DayZ is in production, and should be deployed soon.

The update is pretty barebones right now, but that doesn't mean that more tweaks and enhancements can't be added before the fix is deployed. Right now, the changelog reads:

Stop caring about dying. I lived for 6 weeks, got bored. I die at least twice a week now, get way more fun out of the game.
