all you need to do is move the gameconfig.txt into the correct folder (<steamuserdir>\sourcesdk\bin\source2007\bin) and change the value of SDKVersion to 3 (iirc it was 4 before)
The map was terrible. It's probably as bad as slaughtered if not worse. EDIT: At elast on slaughtered you can use vehicles.
BTW why is the sun green? I know I'm not good with colour but that looks like really vibrant green sunlight.
I spend 95% of my time as an infantryman but the ridiculous slopes made stalemates nigh impossible to crack.
Well yeah, yellow is hugely overdone and also messes with the colours of everything on screen, white looks unnatural because you don't get white sunlight, you get blue or yellow tinted sunlight. Green looks like you're on the planet zarkon and is incredibly stupid. It should be slightly yellow tinted, with the ambient being slightly blue tinted, however the snow itself will be slightly blue tinted also because the human eye registers excessive brightness as being blue tinted, and show is slightly blue anyway. It should also be very bright because snow reflects a lot of light (being mostly white) and mountain sunlight is often unobscured by clouds, likely due to the rain shadow effect. It should not be bright orange, bright green, or coming from a halogen lamp.
I may be releasing an alpha of a map I'm creating in a few weeks. Let's just say Walmartgreeter inspired me to make it.
Actually, I think it is. Problem is, a soft yellow light + a moderate blue ambient = slightly green map. It's only 1% to 3% more green than grey, but I suppose it's odd if you're looking for it. (I get a lot of white light where I am because of cloud cover. Come to think of it, it does look like there's a gigantic halogen lamp in the sky.)
I live in florida and it is usually pure white all day and gets to be golden piss yellow during dusk and dawn
