Flak guns can look like a multitude of different cannons / guns.... the main thing to think of what the gun is for, would something that is going to be shooting at small missiles need to be huge? Or would the system purely need to spam out fragments which could be easily done by a high rate of fire weapon. The almost artillery looking gun that carrigage has there would be a perfect idea for hunting larger planes but it almost seems overkill for a missile. I would vote in the notion of keeping the idea simple but that is just me.. Something that dosent look overengineered would fit in with the style that seems to be going in the mod.
On the note of the energy shields and lasers, why would the NF have those? They're making do by MacGyvering stuff - the BE are the ones that are more technologically advanced. Have to be careful not to add too many turret types, whilst still not making them overpowered. Too many turrets will make turret farms sprawl, and if they're overpowered, turret farms will become invincible. As for anti-cannon defenses, nononono. This would totally nerf tanks. ML turrets rip tanks to pieces as it is, with guns to take out incoming tank shells, ML turrets would become practically invincible.
Easy fix, max of 1-2 turrets, they'd be very expensive and take long to build and would have to be researched which also costs alot. That way it might not even be in game, and if it is, it deserves to be in the game

I was just thinking how totally Awezummm and Badass it looks and then got to thinking, do you know what colours it might be in? I was thinking black might make it look kinda cool; broody, agressive and evil, but then it could just look out of place. Obviously I reckon we can exclude most, if not all, colours of the rainbow.. so what will it be? Chrome with black?
