limit the skybox so the ER arties won't be able to pound the bases while being safe looks good overall
Well at the moment the skybox is pretty low and the cliff in front of the base stops most cannon shots, arty won't be a problem~ As for being money with terrain, I'm limiting the base resources and I'm planning on puttin 2x out in the open to try to encourage 'pushing'.
OK, now that i look at this seriously, all i can imagine is: -both sides building fucktons of level3 turrets along the bank -people are slaughtered swimming across, everyone goes scout with hide and either crawls across and sabs or snipes people from the sides -and then the game ends because one of the comms fell in the water underwater tunnels and bases would make it waaay cooler. The map itself looks nice though
1. I've restricted to Lv1 turrets. 2. Minimal swimming (read: I'm building islands / mass bridges) 3. Unless your DELIBERATELY trying to fall into the water, you arn't. Definately not, I'll be doing everything I can make it a "pushing" map and not a "stay in the base and rush arty". Besides, with all the big resources being in the open / underground (minimal in the base) this should easily not-be like money~
Lol Kane, I was refering to Xyam's comment~ But from what I can see there are 2-3 good arty spots for the islands, although actually hitting the barracks etc could prove troublesome...
well, having hills to prevent arty fire and leaving holes in them kinda defeats the whole purpose of having those hills
