New official map or wut? 0.o Also, the trees just dont work. Fix them. EDIT: It also took me all of 30 seconds to wall jump onto those pipes EDIT: theres virtually nothing you cant wall jump to... EDIT: Ceiling of map is insanely low in random parts, like the mounds between the middle and the outside, making use of arty and even mortar sometimes, impossible.
uhm seriously? glycenpass? thats the LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG chokepoint with the bridge on top? Are you serious? I mean there are MANY custom maps out there with a better gameplay than glycenpass...
This is Grizzly's new map, it's a work in progress that is ready for playtesting, and he wants to see how it plays. It wont be in 2.21, but, could come out in the near future
Those pipes need either clipping or fixing so you cant get up, 1 wall and you're on those pipes. You could in theory make it easy to get onto the pipes for everyone so that adds something to gameplay?
Needs less of the glycencity brand eye cancer. (read: too fucking bright) Oh, and the trees need killing with fire, but its not that hard to do a "wintery" retexture of the decent trees currently included with Empires.
The reflectivity of the materials just needs to be turned down, i'm sure ark, griz or someone can do that
There should be no trees. Simplt because there are no desiduas trees in those invironments. Also your should use some of the textures fron glycen citys roads. and dont start the basses in componds. the walls just promote turtleing. let them build there own walls.
I was thinking of retexturing the custom tree used in Slaughtered (new) with some snow to suit this, if grizzly is interested. The ground textures are a little weird as well. I would suggest a blend texture between dirt and snow, instead of the concrete.
HEY! Nice to see some feedback! To answer some of the stuff, i'm quite aware of the issues with geting onto pipes, and i was actually gona encourage it by adding some ladders since it allows for scouts to do sneeky ass ambushes etc, but i'l look into adding clips to where we don't want dudes to run The map also have some hilarius issues with HDR, but it's running off standard setings so thats probobly why Trees act as cover and to break up snow, since they where the only "real" prop i could find that actually was snow coverd, if i could get somone to do some proper snowtrees or any other props with a hint of snow i would gladly use them insted Details and cover in general will also be added throughout the map for inf to hide behind, and while it is vital to infantry the general flow of the map should still be figguroutable in it's current state The layout is basicly "well, cannyon is pretty fun, wonder if i can make that but with snow?", a simple side project that i grew fond of and decided to complete (got like 5-6 of those laying around) Also, again, thanks for the comments! will look into everything you point out and see if it's somthing i can/think should be solved
