Currently they're set like so: Red (0 income) - Green (10 income) - White (28+ income) No income - High income - Extremely high income. Ideally it would query the maximum possible income for the map and change color based on that value; giving you an idea of how you're performing. IE: No res nodes captured - Half the res nodes - All the res nodes
Ah, I had a feeling that was what was meant but it sounds like a kinda arbitrary scale. I mean from my personal view as occasional commander doing it like that tells me really nothing about how the team is doing at all on that given map, and given how I kinda assume most things based on color work off of percentage it's a little misleading too. Like when I see yellow income I think something is wrong but really that's just the normal rate of res on a map like flat or canyon. I can understand wanting to show differences in map res rates though, I see people do the same research on canyon that they would do on money and thus lose. It's just that kinda stuff feels like less of an issue these days, and it's just confusing to any vets I feel. Or maybe I'm just dumb, that's usually the more likely reason. I would like color to refer to refs honestly, I mean sure you can just count but sometimes it can get lost when it's a bigger game and there's buildings/tanks everywhere. Helps make it more obvious that somethings wrong and people really need to take refineries again.
then as a light, stay away from infantry... how is this hard? too much infantry? bring a med or drive em over... lights should never stand still anyway
no 0->25% - >25->45% - >45-55% - >55-75% - >75-100% Its useless to know the enemy or you have 'no' res nodes, you need to know useful info
Why would you put grey in the middle? It should be yellow right? So what's useful info then? I agree any thing on the hud should be relevant to that match, but outside of how many refs you have what else could be useful to show instead?
Interval? You mean the time? I don't think interval ever changes so I don't see how color coding the res meter will help here.
the startup video looks terrible in 2016. please remove it (it also used to have sound) e: blinding concs being readded is also a disapointment
I dont even know why it was brought back in the first place. There were many a thread back in the day deatailing how to turn it off. That and source load time doesnt seem to decrease with PC power so youre adding more loadtime to an already considerable one.
There is no way in fuck im ever putting my steam folder anywhere near my ssd card. Also what kind of an argument is that
You can have a second steam library on a different hard drive, if you ever felt like giving some of your games a speed boost. Or are like me and have 2 256gig ssds due to somewhat poor planning.
You do realise SSD cut loading times by 10, right? Also I'm not talking about SD Cards, I'm talking about Solid State Drives. Don't complain about loading time not being faster if you're still using a HDD because this is your limiting factor so no matter what CPU RAM or other components you use it obviously won't go faster.
m.2 ssds are cards, fe theyre not exactly cheap tho. the above with 500gb costs around 300€. make a raid0 for the lulz :D
I thought that said radio and got terribly confused. Honestly I might have done a raid 0 but my m.sata ssd runs at sata 2 speeds, while the main drive runs at sata3 speeds. So I don't think it would help here at all.
