Theres a difference between having e build and giving them the ability to heal tanks, build cameras, drop amo etc etc
I litterally just read the OP I still dont understand how Im wrong with the independence, if you give other classes more stuff they become more independent of engineer
They wouldn't have more stuff, the only difference is that they would have a tool to build instead of using e. It would unload and recharge like an engineer's calculator, providing limited but slightly faster output.
Then you didn't read, you skimmed. Those are extra ideas that might improve it. But the original idea is just to replace ebuild. Either way spreading capabilities is not a bad thing.
I propose we give calculators to all classes, with different attributes and skills, take some of that power off Engineer for a change. All calculator would have the ability to build, and class specific abilities: Thats not extra ideas. You litterally propose this. Do you even read your own post?

So my original argument still is valid. If you say E build is too slow and you dont really want those extra ideas. Just make ebuild faster. ??? Why give them a calculator to make building faster, you can just up E build speed

At this point, e-building is as ingrained in the game as squad reviving people from four corners of the map. It doesn't really matter that it's poorly communicated or makes little sense, it just is, and there isn't much support for amending it.
