I think private services in general are great in America, but in terms of overall education, crime rates, equality law maturity, etc, the western parts of Europe are way far ahead.

Your point would be exactly the same if I swapped the word America out with Europe, except if you take the subjectivity out of it all, public services are better in Europe, but private services are better in America.

For example, you can get brain surgery for free anywhere in Europe as an EU citizen and not have to worry about the insurance company. But then the Netflix selection is not as great. Swings and roundabouts.

 

A proxy can get by the Netflix issue; a shit ton of money is required to get around the whole moving to another country issue - and as a US citizen you're required to pay taxes even if you don't live in the USA.
