Osama Bin Laden is dead, great but that won't end terrorism, that won't make relations between country any better, and it definitely won't end the Afghanistan war, or the more pointless war the Iraq war. I was 15 when September 11th happen, and almost 10 years later I don't really feel happy or sad about Bin Laden's death, because even with his death the world is still just as fucked up as it was when he was alive. What have we really accomplished?
I dunno I think it's pretty awesome that america invaded two countries because of this dude, it's just so stupidly unfair it becomes hilarious.
The Real Saddam... saddam was not bad. he kept the terrorist in check, just like gadaffi. with a dictator, the terrorists are afraid to do anything, because the dictators dont want to attract the west's attention.
Your eleven times more likely to die from hot water than from terrorism. So why not spend all that money fighting hot water?
Hey, we've spent billions on looking for this single guy, and now we've finally managed to kill him! Celebrate! Don't care that much myself.
billions? more like trillions. i count the "bringing democracy" and taking out dictators as part of the bill. I like how USA does the dirty work, but China will probably go into middle east to take advantage of the oil and the billions of tons of rare earth metals.
Well at least his death was made possible by cooperation between Pakistan and the US, so that's one relation that at least had a minor boost. Also i guess it makes the Americans feel a tiny bit better about spending so much money on it. They've not been doing very well in many countries these past decades, so even a small succes at least gives back some morale and hope for the future. I'm curious though as to what happened to all the terrorist groups saying they'll reign down fire upon the west if Bin Laden would ever be killed. Like when they said they'd detonate a nuclear weapon in Europe if Bin Laden were to be harmed. I actually expect a bit more explosions and attempts in certain european cities than usual, at least for the near future. Also Bin Laden wasn't very bright, i hope he does not get followed up by someone who is.
Well, I'm not American, but even if the death of bin laden did have no direct tangible effects, I wouldn't underestimate the psychological boost it'll give to the average Joe, and even more so for those who are involved in the 'war on terror'. I gotta say it brightened my day a bit
Rest in Peace OBL, the man who single-handedly brought an arrogant superpower down to it's knees. (well, the crazy president from Texas did help.) Also, he is probably enjoying a fuckton of virgins right now.
