Update: All veteran players (identified as members of the ESG Steam group) will always have a reserved slot on VIPER (G4TC's US Empires Server). You can request an invite to the ESG Steam group from an officer. Officers will only invite veteran players. Officers Recon Chik'n'Stu JPL Rex Omega_K2 John Shandy` Trickster JPL yobbo BSID CPatton ScardyBob How do reserved slots work? First, you must be in the Steam group. Second, wait until the server says 50/50 (vs 51/50) and type the following line in your console and press enter: Code: connect 99.198.97.162:27106 I'm in the group, but I don't have a reserved slot? Does the server hate me? No, it means I haven't updated the system since you joined. Updates will be done around once a week. Questions? Comments?
1) does it auto kick the guy who your replacing or does it give them a warning that they are about to leave? 2) How is the person who is about to be dropped decided. 3) Can we haZ specific sounds played when each of us join? (ex Prepare to fight from UT for me.)
Pretty much its a group of not completely newfags who want to be oldfags and have created a group of "veterans" despite the fact some "veterans" are completely fucking retarded and are surpassed in both ability and intelligence by people who have played for less than a month. Whats even funnier is that of the "officers" There is 1(?) who was around before 2.12. tl;dr A bunch of not completely new players made a group to feel cool and won't let perfectly good players in unless they fagged around for a year.
Um, so 78 people who are already in the steamgroup will get a reserved slot? And does that mean that if they all wanted to play they could boot the entire server population? Or is there only one slot for them all to share?
dude most of the people with reserved slots don't seem to play much anyways. can i has reserved slot pl0x? or do i need to wait 6 more months.
tl;dr People who you call veterans are just stubborn and found out most of Empires tricks/cheats/imbalances that gives them advantage over noobs. That's all, we don't need them. Which reminds me that I wanted to say that you're a noob too but then I remembered that I haven't seen you playing at all.
