not true. if you can see my ubuntu desktop. there are 2 icons. firefox and my hdd. but your desktop is crazy.
Be careful, it's 1600x1200. All you see is self-explaining I think, just the upper line might be overseen: It's a newsticker, running from right to left, showing some selected RSS-feeds... http://img63.imageshack.us/img63/8748/desktop16zc.jpg P.S.: Even if there is a lot of space at 1600x1200, I don't like to have icons/shortcuts there. The desktop has to be clean. Everything else loks messed up
i used to keep my desk immaculate, even had the start bar hidden, but its just too much effort and time consuming to have to keep re-arranging everything. also i format and re-install windows every month or so, it never gets too messy then:p
posting a screenshot is kinda pointless for me cause i have it set so the wallpaper changes everytime i turn the comp on. btw, having a multitude of icons on your desktop slows down you comp (or so ive been told), all i have is my computer, my documents, recycle bin, download folder, and a shortcut folder. i have no idea why i feel the need to tell you ppl that, or why i feel the need to tell you that i dont know why i feel the need tell you.

AlexCA117 you just made me count how many icons there are on my desktop, I have 200 :eek: !!! I posted pic a little further up. I never even contemplated that there was even half that many there, you have nearly 100 its wiered. Like some kind of optical ilusion.
