I guess I'll do that, though I did think it was sort of a feature.

Yea I wasnt sure as in real life a tank has alot less armor on top than the sides. Like I said would make it very dangerouse for tanks to go under infantry in a urban map so it could be considered a feature like arklansman said. So long as its to both sides.

Hmmm... Could this be why art seamed to be so powerfull?

Not totally true. The Abrams has been improved for top armor in the A3 version, the Centurion 2 is much better on top as well. Unsure of what the Leopard II is like, but most MBTs are becoming more versatile, for both open range fighting, as well as urban combat. For example, the Abrams has 3 remote controlled machine guns, two of which are .50 cal if I remember correctly.

Part of the reasoning behind a stronger turret is urban combat, part is also due to the current fire and forget missiles targeting the turret as the weak spot.

Might be why arty seemed over powered, but I think it was also do to splash damage, not just top damage. Not often I was hit dead on the top.

No, that would be the MASSIVE splash damage.

I intend to give us this "urban combat" of which we speak.

    Eventually.

When I have time to figure buildings out.
