I think we should remove medium chain gun, with that weight and functionality I'd rather grab a .50 cal. Or just a chain gun.
Because it's very powerful at close range and you get it immediately. Honestly it needs to be a 3-slot because only APCs should be able to use that shit.
My experience with medium CG is that it's basically same shit as CG. I only use medium CG when I actually have the weight quota but there's literally nothing else to spend it on.
Medium cg feels more accurate. You don't have to research it either so it's nice. Medium cg being an apc only weapon isn't bad idea though. Then again it's so heavy I never get it unless I expect more infantry then tanks and we don't have a good second weapon. oh I just realized your talking about 3 slot du. I assume it was to give apcs a better antitank weapon. I think 2 slot and 3 slot du weigh the same too. Still, du is shit against infantry and I laugh every time I see someone shooting it at infantry.
It's just that it feels like a 3 slot should weight more as it's.. 3 slots. Just reduce the weight of medium chaingun by 5 and it's the same weight as DU and I'm happy. Makes customising apcs a 'lil easier, not having to remove 1 armor piece when switching from DU to chain.
.50 cal => armored rifleman with accuracy upgrade. Medium CG => armored HMG, proning. CG => armored HMG, crotching. std CN => armored SMG1. I really don't use medium CG as often as other weapons, especially when I have .50 cal. Mainly because of the weight.
Let's talk about an exaggerated case. Imagine you get nuke without research. Does that mean it'll be hellaOPasfuck? Nope.
Sgt, I think the better example would be if you got a nuke without research that fits on an APC. Will it overheat you completely the first time you use it? Yes. Will it be HellaOPasFuck? Definitely.
