Why is empires a shittier version of SAVAGE?

    savage 2 is much more polished than empires and it is free.

    ironically, i still have spent way more time playing empires than savage 2.

    In answer to OP, because you're not a godlike trustworthy dev coming at the time when we need it most. And you're not a godlike modeller.

    If the game saved exp and stat progression from rounds past it would qualify as an RPG. I start every round at level 1 so its a FPS with skill upgrades. Take a look at the HL1 mod called Firearms, it pioneered proning, and skill upgrades. Shame Firearms source won't be out til Summer at the earliest.
