well you can do it, so it will happen. its equally shit if all your team goes rifleman or gren - though gren is the lesser evil until they run out of ammo. or when they stay engi throughout the game even if they are 3 engis repairing a rax against a single tank instead of two attacking as gren ... id be much for enforcing more limits on players. let there be a maximum number of infantry classes and tanks depending on player counts (=~ 1 scunt / 10 players as example), call it quality assurance - i bet you the game will profit a lot from this. edit: you also need to set the limits for gren and engi quite high as its the only two classes that really needs to be pickable in certain situations. put differently, you shouldnt lose a rax just because you could only pick scunt.
flasche i'm much for enforcing limits on your stupidity so that this forum might be spared. seriously though, are you turning an off topic thread into a suggestions thread? this isn't a good idea and it's not even hard to see why. classic limited class problem: all the noobs take gren, and you can't go gren to save your team, or all the noobs take x and you can't go x to save your team
Class limits, whilst a solution, would only be there to make up for shoddy balance. It doesn't fix the root of the problem, which is what we should aim to address. That is, make scout less retarded.
dont feed fn's superiority complex flasche, you don't have to apologize to him when he insults you. just wait it out, ignore the self serving egomaniac for a while then he'll disappear for a few months and get his validation elsewhere.
Thats bullshit. It motivated me and I don't think it has that effect on everybody Only in the most harsh of enviroments can we breed the finnest gamers.
how u fix people reading "scout" and thinking that its an awesome class bc its you know sniper pew pew :puke: a short sorry is better then the page long insults we could throw at eachother good enough for you ...
thanks flasche, was my bad really. you know just as much as i know how we're all super defensive about what we like and don't like about empires
haha super defensive is a nice euphemism - but no offense taken, if id really take stuff ive read on this forum personal, i wouldnt have survived the first months. took some time to learn that though, but you guys been good teachers
Solution has always been to make scout more of a recon/infiltration class and just make scout rifle pointless, it just never happened. But that's my point, the scout rifle is where our problem lies here.
