BE heavy tank, dual railguns. Not the greatest power, but you can basically get a continuous bombardment if you alternate the cannons.
I wish people would research plasmas more. They only do 5 less damage than rails and they're prettier
lol standard.... you'll all learn, and learn soon, which cannon is the one to use.... ...and that the others are teh suck.
i like HE. but i haven't been able to use rail gun or plasma. most games i play, the commander doesn't research it.
The new railgun is crazy powerful. It has huge range (park on the repair pad and you can blow up the other team's VF from the other side of the map (if the sky box is high enough, lol) The only setback is it's not so good against infantry.
Bah! I do use ranged as it so happens, and I use rails on heavies. ER is brilliant with missile support and I hit alot more often with its straight arc rather than other cannons. I do understand HE is a necessary evil in empires, however, we're talking likes...ER has a lot more finesse.
They do quite a bit more damge than HE, can rape a base from afar when combined with missiles, dont heat up as much, and are easier to aim with (once you've adjusted from HE aiming-style). It just goes to show how people don't try new research paths. I still think im the only one who actually uses the rifleman damage upgrade, or scout speed upgrade when im in a LT tank...
What the hell? Did Dizzyone break out his sudden last-minute-weapon-changes again!? I checked the weapon stats back in RC 32-33 and it was just the opposite. But I do hate how the projectiles are just as fast or slower than the HE projectiles, but the straight aiming trajectory sure makes it a lot eaisier to hit with them.
