The prime minister is about the same. Can't say I blame them though, dutch has a lot of very pronouncing K's and other combinations that are really hard on the throat.

My girlfriend tried to speak some dutch (she's american) and couldn't do it for very long without her throat starting to hurt.

Dutch is very pronounced, that's also why they sound so weird when talking English.

i've said this many times but i think if you added walkie talkie sounds to all the voice commands except the local ones it would make the voices alot better

Yup, I concur. Radio crackles would be nice (custom voice pack, anyone?)

I know a Dutch girl who speaks English perfectly, but has an American accent because of the materials she learnt from. Weird how it can be picked up so easily.

English is easy compared to Dutch (or Chinese for that matter)

ah, you just reminded me of this KICK ASS idea i had.

how about, when you use your radio ingame: whatever sounds are going on near your player location are broadcast through the mic as well, as if it was actually that person in combat. so if he was firing, and being shot at while he speaks, you would hear faint (like when people fire from miles away in hl2) shots, and explosions.

If you die, then the microphone turns to white noise...

    thats idd kick ass :D

something completely different, how about when you use the radio comms, the enemy can also hear them when they are nearby. So youd be like "i need a medic" and the enemy would be like "oh noe you dont" RATATATATAT :D

haha, I'd be all for this idea except we don't need another reason for people not to be using microphones, or worse- using out of game programs so only their mates can hear. that really anoys me :o

What does that have to do with microphones?

If there are negative effets of using microphones, like your enemies hearing you, then people will use programs that allow you to use microphones outside of the game, only with other people with that program running. and that would be bad.

When he said "radio comms", he meant the F menu.

    Silly people.
